Transformational Discipleship

What is it?

Transformational Discipleship (TD) is a spiritual development process at St. Mark Ministries that aims to develop servant leaders who live deeply connected to their identity as children of God and create positive, life-changing impacts on others.

The 18-month process accomplishes this through a structured framework of retreats, module work, coaching, and book groups, with the goals of helping participants learn to create space for God's work in their lives, explore their strengths in godly service, and be more intentional with their relationships.

Do not conform to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." (Romans 12:2) and "[be equipped] for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up." (Ephesians 4:12)

THE VISION

INTENT – that people who are transforming in their relationship with our God will have a positive, life-changing impact on others.  Parent to child.  Worker to co-worker.  Family member to family member.  Friend to friend.  Neighbor to neighbor.  Coach to player.

IT IS TIME – for the church to take an intentional step to servant leadership development.  As Jesus did with his disciples, this 18-month process will recruit men and women who are spiritually open and willing to go deeper.

The Framework

A retreat kicks off each of the six 3-month modules.  Each retreat introduces a specific arena of transformational growth while allowing for discussion and reflection in a safe, authentic community.  Learn more about the topics covered here.

Each participant is assigned a trained coach to proactively partner with you  and help you reach your goals by providing clarity, giving direction, and maximizing your efforts.

 Small groups of fellow participants will delve into one book per module.  You’ll  hold each other accountable, offer encouragement, share joys and challenges and pray for each other.  Discover which books will be studied here.
